Hi my beauties,
I decided to do a Q & A because many of you message me with questions that I’d love to answer but just don’t have the time to go through them all (plus I like to reply in paragraphs rather than one word answers, and well, I’d literally be here all day!) I know that most of you know absolutely everything about me already, because I share so much with you, but I thought it would be nice anyway 🙂
I’ve tried to fit as many questions as possible in here, lots of you had the same ones so that makes it a little easier!
Where is your dog? And will you ever have another one?
I knew this was coming so I’ll get it out of the way :’)
Willow (now a fully grown polar bear) lives by a huge lake in the countryside with one of the nicest couples I’ve ever met, and has a fellow doggie friend to play with. I miss her all the time and if I ever see a photo of her I literally burst in to tears, haha! I’ll get another doggie one day, they’re my favourite animal (apart from cows) But maybe I’ll rescue one instead next time, and make sure that I’m stable enough to take care of it forever, should anything in my life change suddenly again.
What’s your biggest fear?
Flying! The underground and getting in elevators…basically being trapped in small spaces. *shudder*
How old are you and how tall are you?
26! But I still feel about 12 sometimes haha! I’m 5ft 6.
If you could have any super power, what would it be?
To heal people with my hands! Very Jesus’esque. Or teleportation because travelling is long.
What star sign are you and are you a typical one?
I’m an Aries. And yes, I’m very fiery, passionate, impulsive and pretty impatient!
How many kids do you want?
4!!! I want a big family like my own.
What music do you listen to when you’re stressed?
Always classical when I’m stressed! It calms me right down and helps me to centre myself 🙂 I love Ludovico Einaudi. Get him on your Spotify and thank me later 😛
What is one of the most effective ways you stay positive when you’re feeling down? And how do you pull yourself out of it?
I find that the best thing to do is allow enough space for all of my emotions to be heard, and to respect and honour them instead of trying to push them away. There is no shame in feeling down, and there’s actually a lot of beauty and growth to be found in sadness. When I’m feeling down I have a big cry, take a long bath and call my big sister Harriet. I always remember that there is a lesson in everything, and it’s not the end of the world. Every problem is actually an opportunity to learn and grow, and plus…crying your eyes out can feel really therapeutic!
I find the sooner I acknowledge my sadness, the sooner I can process my emotion, and deal with the situation. If you are stuck in a cycle of constantly feeling depressed, then you need to change something. Read a book, open your mind, look at things from a different perspective. Help yourself in some way.
To pull myself out, I remember that I am solely responsible for my own life, my own happiness and my own choices. Choosing love instead of fear is an amazing way to start feeling better, and I list the things I’m grateful for.
If you could single out one thing you did in regards to treating your acne that you think was the most effective, what would it be?
What’s your favourite blog?
Tiny Buddha is full of wonderful life advice and really lifts my mood! and Caroline Hiron’s blog is amazing (She’s the skincare queen!)
What’s your favourite makeup brand?
At the moment it’s Anastasia Beverly Hills for sure. I just love all of their products!
Where have you travelled to?
OOO ermmm, Italy, France, Hungary, Croatia, Austria, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, LA, Bali, New York, Florida, Hong Kong…
Would you ever live anywhere else?
I’d move a little further out of London, but I love it here so I wouldn’t want to leave. I’d love to live somewhere warmer one day though!
Who is your ultimate girl crush?
Emma Louise Connolly (Proudlock’s girlfriend), she’s such a babe and makes me laugh.
What song makes you cry?
The song and video for ‘Beyonce – I was here!’ Gets me every time!
Do you think you and Paul will get married?
Yes please! He needs to propose first though, right babe?
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I could always work to my full potential without doubting myself. I admire people who just constantly go for it and aren’t scared of failure.
What kind of diet are you on and what’s your favourite food?
I never diet or restrict myself, I spent years doing that and It was a disaster, my weight fluctuated constantly and I was either starving or bingeing.
I try to eat intuitively and listen to what my body needs or wants. If I crave something I have it, and then I feel satisfied and happy which stops me from bingeing or over eating. Food is for fuel, but it’s also for pleasure, so being balanced is the key. I never refer to food as a ‘treat’ because it shouldn’t be used as a reward, especially unhealthy food (It makes no sense!)
I avoid all fat free and low fat ‘diet’ foods, I try to avoid dairy for my skin (apart from chocolate mmm), and I don’t eat much meat at all, especially not beef. I love whole foods, fish, fruit and vegetables and I put tomato ketchup on errythang. Thai food is my absolute fave.
What are your major life goals?
I just want to help as many people as possible, and my biggest goal is to write a self-help/personal growth book 🙂 (A worldwide bestseller of course! I just don’t know what it will be about yet!)
Who is your biggest inspiration?
The late Wayne Dyer has had such a positive impact on my life. He’s my angel and I love him to bits. If you haven’t read his books or watched any of his youtube vids yet, you absolutely have to! My little sister is also super inspiring, she’s like super woman – so motivated, hardworking and talented.
What advice would you give to some who is trying to find their soulmate?
Be what you want to attract. For example, if you want to meet someone kind, thoughtful, supportive and motivated… then be those things yourself. We attract what we put out in to the world and the right person is out there, you just have to trust and be open minded. Do not focus on material things, do not prioritise money, nice cars, their job or status… all of those things mean absolutely nothing, especially when it comes to true love. Also, get out of the house! You half your chances of meeting someone by hiding in your bedroom. Although I did meet Paul on Bumble, haha! :’)
What happened with your relationship and how come you got back together? Are you happy?
It’s quite complicated! But basically we started to argue more than usual, and things just got very difficult. We mutually agreed that it would be best to leave things where they were, despite the fact that we were still madly in love with each other. We knew we needed time apart. I left to travel because I wasn’t sure what else to do, It was a really impulsive decision and honestly being away was necessary for my mental health, but it just made me appreciate home so much more. I missed Paul every day, and nagged him a lot asking him to get back together with me! We spoke quite a lot while I was away, and then as soon as I came home we had a chat and met up. We are soul mates and best friends, and I truly think that we’re meant to be together. I’m in a much better place now, so our relationship is really amazing. If we ever have an argument now then we learn from it, and next time we do things differently. We are always coming up with ideas for how we can communicate better with love and understanding, and we have a code word now for if we ever fight and we’re both being stubborn. If one of us says the code word then we know to stop fighting and cuddle instead ahaha! But yes, we are very happy 🙂
How often do you workout and what do you do?
I go to the gym about 4 times a week and I do strength training. I love lifting weights, it makes me feel so powerful and strong. I do the odd bit of cardio to keep fit, but it bores the hell out of me. I’ve also recently started to get in to yoga and I’m loving it! It’s very meditative and I love feeling more flexible.
Where did Paul take you on your first date? Was it awkward?
He took me for dinner to Sketch restaurant in London, it was absolutely amazing! We did not stop laughing all night, not one awkward moment.
Which artist or band do you want to see live?
London Grammar for sure! I’m obsessed.
Who is your favourite comedian?
Michael McIntyre or Kevin Hart.
What are the ingredients for a great relationship?
Trust, respect, laughter, compromise, support, kindness, giving, learning, growing, forgiveness, compassion and understanding. Oh, and date nights!
What’s your favourite thing about Paul?
He never takes life too seriously, he makes me pee laughing. He’s also incredibly kind and generous. When I’m having a bad day his pep talks and emotional support save me every time! Oh, and he makes me feel safe! Was that too many? 😀
What advice would you give to someone with a broken heart?
Acceptance. The sooner you accept what’s happened, the sooner you’ll allow the Universe to do it’s job, whether that’s moving forward with your head held high, or eventually getting back together. What’s meant to be will be, no matter what. So cry lots, love yourself beyond words, give yourself all the love you feel you’ve lost, take long baths, spend time with friends, avoid taking drugs, getting too drunk and making impulsive choices that will only make you feel worse. Be kind to the other person, despite what’s happened and send them thoughts of healing and love. If you want them back, let them go! Sometimes people just need the space to realise what it is they truly want. Time heals all wounds.
What is your life moto?
Probably the saying: “Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, it’s not the end.”
